Healing That Honors Your Mind, Body, and Experience.

Hi, I’m Marissa! I’m a therapist, mom, animal lover, and the founder of Heartfelt Healing. I’m a dog mom, cat mom, and mom to a wonderfully wild toddler who keeps me grounded and laughing.

I didn’t start college planning to be a therapist. I tried a few different majors before social work found me, and once it did, everything fell into place. I earned my BSW from Saginaw Valley State University and my MSW from Michigan State University, and I’ve spent the last six years supporting adults navigating ADHD, anxiety, depression, stress, disordered eating, and major life transitions.

I’m trained in CBT, DBT, somatic work, motivational interviewing, and strengths-based approaches, but the heart of my work is creating a space that feels safe and real. I know starting therapy can feel vulnerable, and talking to someone new isn’t always easy. My goal is to make that first step feel a little less intimidating. People often tell me I’m easy to talk to and that they can settle in quickly, even if they were nervous walking in.

I’m also someone who genuinely loves learning. I’m always researching, reading, and staying up to date on new therapeutic practices because I believe ongoing growth is what makes a good therapist. I never want to feel stagnant or closed off to new ideas—there’s always a growing stack of books in my Amazon cart to prove it.

Whether you're looking for big change or just a place to talk things through, we’ll take it one step at a time and move in a way that feels supportive. Outside the office, you’ll usually find me with my family, trying new hobbies, or chasing my toddler with an iced coffee in hand.

I’m glad you’re here. Whenever you’re ready, we can take the next step together.

Marissa Curtis, LMSW

Therapy with me is:

Support that feels human. Real conversations, real care, and space for you to show up exactly as you are — on the good days, the hard days, and everything in between.

Outside of session:

As a toddler mom, my world is a mix of chaos, crumbs, and iced coffee runs. When things quiet down, you’ll usually find me with my family, catching up on Bravo, or grabbing a donut. Those simple, quiet moments with them are truly my favorite part of the day.
